Who Would Be King
Scored for five actors, singer, electric guitar, and electronics, Who Would Be King is a physical, postmodern re-imagining of the story of King Saul from the Hebrew Bible. When Saul is called to lead the Bumbleheads against his will, his initially beloved reign quickly gives way to threats, jealousy, and doubt. Comedy turns to tragedy, and Saul must reconcile himself with his fate.
